TUTORIAL: How to Make your advertising banner in less than 1 hour!

 

Make your banner for advertising purpose! a 466 x 58 BANNER

 

Step 1
Ctrl+N, open a new document 466 x 58 pixels, the normal size for a banner is 468 X 60 : in the final step you will know why i am choosing this size now. Set the foreground color as 1E6AC7

 

 

Create a new layer (Ctrl+shift+N) double click on it to show the layer style window, now place the gradient lines in this blue background, double click first on the gradient overlay to display the gradient editor.

In the presets just click on the transparent stripes.

 

 

 

Step 2

Open your image, Ctrl+O, select all your photo Ctrl+A, copy Ctrl+C and paste Ctrl+V it into a new banner made with the same size, click V to use keyboards arrows to move it up or down.

 

 

Zoom your image at 200 %, Grab the lasso tool and select the flower's border all around then copy Ctrl+C the selected area. Come back to your blue frame and create a new layer (Ctrl+shift+N) and paste the flower into your working blue frame .

 

 

Step 3
Create a kind of glossy cloud around the the flower double click on this layer and follow this instructions.

 

Right click on the layer and duplicate it.

 

Step 4
Create a new layer (Ctrl+shift+N), for the "Spring meridien" text the color is ecfaba, click here to download the HansHand font.

 

 

 

 

Step 5
Create a new layer (Ctrl+shift+N), use the Vertical Type Tool with arial black font and 8pt size. text properties:

 

 

Step 6
Create a new layer (Ctrl+shift+N) for the "Hotel accomodation's" text, the color is ecfaba.

 

 

 

 

Now for the final step just create a new document 468 X 60 pixels, set black as foreground colour, and paste your final jpg image result.
